Annual Safety Awards Contest
2016 Safety Application Open, please return no later than March 4, 2016.
B&CMA established the Safety Awards Contest in an effort to raise awareness for the importance of safety in the workplace. Since 1985 The Safety Awards have recognized member bakeries that demonstrate a healthy and safe work environment. The Chairman’s Award of Safety Excellence represents the best overall record among member bakeries of the B&CMA and is structured so each member’s individual plants compete against other plants of similar size. The Recognition Awards acknowledge improvement within a plant. Award Categories Include:
AWARD OF SAFETY MERIT: Plants that achieved a DART incidence rate that is at least 50% below the current rate for the cookie and cracker industry and an improvement over the previous year.
CERTIFICATE OF SAFETY ACHIEVEMENT: Plants that achieved a DART incidence rate that is at least 50% below the current rate for the cookie and cracker industry.
CERTIFICATE OF SAFETY IMPROVEMENT: Plants that decreased/improved their DART incidence rate over that recorded for the previous year.
All B&CMA Regular Members our encouraged to participate in the 2016 Safety Contest.
